do not let any wholesome talk come out of your moths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
Todays morning devotion was led by Michelle, and she shared about an experience where she learned that people actually take notice of what you say and what you dont. People take notice when you dont gossip or badmouth about others. In variety of social settings, talking bad and complaining about something or someone often is a way to bond with others. It is so tempting to give in to the desire to make fun of someone or to talk bad. I struggle with this constantly as well. I was reminded I should really pray that I will have control over my tongue, because what you say reflects who you are to the people who see you.
